Trust Me, Your Birth Chart Is Perfect

May 24, 2025

“Why is it that when I tell people I’m a Gemini, they make a sour face with a disappointed ‘oh’?” asked my son’s tutor when she found out I was a Gemini. If you believe that there is something wrong with your chart, you probably think that there’s something wrong with you. This perception hurts your chances of thriving. Here’s why and how to fix it.

Since I became aware of astrology, around age seven, I knew that I loved being a Gemini. It made me feel I belonged to a tribe of super-cool people.

Astrology has given me one thing my parents never gave me – the confidence that I am awesome, just the way I am. This is why it came as a shock to discover that many people have a negative perception of Geminis.

When Eini came to do a reading with me, she was an astrology enthusiast, and convinced that her chart was the worst, mainly but not exclusively, due to being a Gemini.

She lived under the impression that she had gotten the wrong cards and, therefore, was doomed to struggle all her life, never capable of living her dreams. These perceptions were so deeply ingrained that it was difficult to persuade her that she had a great chart and a wonderful personality.

I hadn’t heard from Eini for about two years, until one day she wrote me, “You changed my life.” My messages sank in, and she gradually began to appreciate her chart and love herself through it. Wanting to help others, she became a brilliant astrologer and a great friend.

It does not happen only with Geminis, though. Often, people tell me that they have a “bad chart”.

Let me be clear with you. There is no such thing as a bad chart. All charts are great and beautiful. All charts are created by divine cosmic forces to help you and support you on your journey.

If you use astrology to explain to yourself why you feel miserable, why you are incapable of living your dreams, why you are still addicted to harmful substances and relationships, why you are unable to make money or be organized or focused or loyal or anything else you are struggling with – you got it all wrong.

Astrology is not meant to be used as an excuse, but as a driving force to help you live your best life and share your gifts with the world. It is meant to help you understand your faults, yes, we all have some, but also to love them and see the beauty of who you are, thanks to them.

If you think there is something wrong with your chart, you think there is something wrong with you. Then you can’t live your best life because you put a lot of effort into trying to hide these parts of you that you think are wrong. You are convinced that if others knew how awfully f*cked up you are, they wouldn’t love you.

Wasting your energy on concealing your faults exhausts you. It doesn’t leave you with enough energy to pursue your dreams.

Additionally, when you hide a part of yourself, you lose authenticity. You don’t make the vibration you were meant to make in this world – a vibration that is unique only to you. Then you don’t attract the right people and the right circumstances. You attract what comes to the fake you, but this is not what you want. As a result, you remain in a cycle of endless frustration.

The more you hide, the worse it gets.

This is why it is so important to love yourself, to feel good in your own skin. It does not mean ignoring or dismissing your faults! It means seeing your faults as a part of your perfection – they make you who you are.

Debra Silverman, a proud Gemini, has just published her brilliant second book, I Don’t Believe in Astrology. She wanted to call it “You Are F*cked Up and I love You Anyway.” The publishers didn’t let her, but this is what astrology is really all about.

I am a Gemini. I get easily distracted. I’ve started writing tons of books and never finished them. I can talk too much and say things I later regret. It took me a long time to learn to be loyal. I am terrified of intimacy. I spend way too much time inside my head, missing out on the world around me. I have mood swings.

I am a Gemini. I am aware of my shortcomings and am continually working to improve myself. I never cease to change and easily adapt. I am a great teacher, writer, and speaker. I am a caring friend and a lot of fun to talk to. I have had an interesting life with many stories to share, and you’ll never be bored when I’m around.

This is a Gemini New Moon week. Ask yourself what parts of yourself you don’t like. Do you hide them from others, or are you open about them? Can you examine these aspects of yourself and see how truly lovable they are? Can you recognize them as valuable attributes that make you who you are? Please share your thoughts.

Have a wonderful week and a happy Gemini New Moon,

With love,

Yael
