If you have taken at least one astrology class in your life, you probably know that Jupiter equals expansion. But what does that really mean? What and why do we want to expand? Most of you would agree that you don’t wish expansion to show up in your waistline, which, by the way, is often an undesirable byproduct of benevolent Jupiter transits. 

So what is it that we’d like to expand? There is never one answer, because we are multidimensional and complex beings. 

We have ten planetary energies within us, and we hope to expand ourselves in all of them. But it is better to focus on one at a time. As you read this expansion list, think about the one aspect of your life that needs more expansion right now. 

Jupiter’s rule is that where your attention and energy go, that’s where you’ll expand. 

Sun expansion – you shift from survival mode to thriving mode by expanding what you want from life. You are no longer playing it small and settling for less. Your desires are expansive and reflect your soul’s promise.

Moon expansion – you expand your emotional capacity and are capable of withstanding the discomfort of your emotions without needing to numb them, fix them, or change them. This gives you inner resilience and a strong connection with your inner guide. 

Mercury expansion – your mind is excited and stimulated with new creative ideas and solutions, and you ask yourself – How did I not see all these possibilities before? 

Venus expansion – Think about eating a piece of chocolate mindlessly while you write an angry email vs eating it slowly, enjoying every bit of flavor and texture as it melts in your mouth. That’s a pleasure explanation for you, and it will also expand your power of attraction. 

Mars expansion – you expand your physical capabilities by exercising and taking care of your body. In my fifties, I am in the best shape of my life, and it translates to my ability to live my dreams. Another Mars expansion is in courage and boldness, taking risks and living the life you were meant to live. 

Jupiter expansion – you wake up in the morning with the light of joy burning within you, just because you got to live another day. Life is such a precious gift, and you cherish every moment of it. This unshakable joy doesn’t wear off. 

Saturn expansion – you are more dedicated, devoted, and committed to your goals than ever before. Your life structures, such as your finances and your family, give you all the support you need to thrive. 

Uranus expansion – you expand from your past self into your future self, the self you want to become. You expand your social circle of genuine friendships and a community that supports you on your journey. 

Neptune expansion – you don’t only say you believe, you live the faith that you are a child of god, you are a divine being, who came to share your unique gifts with the world. You expand your creativity because you know that what you have to say matters. 

Pluto expansion – you rewire your psychological tendencies in a way that your traumas and wounds no longer manage you. You can see how they activate you, and you choose to act differently, in a way that serves your highest good.
