Capricorn Season & Pluto Conjunct Sun – Am I in the Right Place?

January 13, 2024

Most of us ask ourselves at different stages of our lives whether we are at the right place. Am I in the right relationship? The right job? The right workplace? The right friendship? The right home? The right city or country?

Sometimes it’s hard to know. I was a great information system manager. I got amazing job offers and was paid extraordinarily well. Yet, the corporate world was not the right place for me. Then I co-owned a yoga studio and was fulfilled beyond my dreams. Yet, after two years there, it was no longer the right place for me. I had relationships that seemed good with people who I loved and loved me back, but they were not the right relationships for me. I recently asked myself if the role I took as an activist leader in my community, is the right role for me. Am I doing a good service to the world by doing that?

While there is usually not a simple answer, there are ways in which we can achieve almost certainty answering such questions. In this post I list three methods for aligned decision-making.

The first method relates to Capricorn, the sign of responsibility, discipline, and hard work. When we are in the right place, giving the service we were meant to give to the world, we do our work with joy. Being disciplined and responsible comes effortlessly. I love writing these blogs to you. It is my absolute pleasure, so I know I should be writing them. I love to meet people and read birth charts and teach astrology. It is never a struggle to do these things. It actually amazes me that I get paid to do them because I enjoy them so much.

When it comes to our social connections, we can ask ourselves how easy or hard it is to make time for the other person. We all have some friends whom we love so much that we will almost always enthusiastically find time for them. While there are other people in our lives that it feels like a task to meet or talk with them. Likewise, our romantic relationships. How eager are we to spend time with our partner, to listen to them, to know how their day was, and to support them with their struggles? Does it all feel like a burden? Or does it come naturally for us to want to connect with them, care for them, and make love with them?

Of course, things are never black and white, but if we start paying attention to our natural tendencies, we can learn a lot about what our heart truly desires. What feels like a struggle and what comes with ease?

The second method relates to Pluto conjuncts sun. This influence started January 10 and will last till January 29. Pluto is an intuitive planet with a very deep knowing of what’s right. It knows, because it is connected to the physical body. It feels knowledge through the body.

One exercise I often offer people has to do with making decisions with intuition. Let’s assume you need to decide on whether to stay at your current job, or to accept a new job offer. You put your hands on your belly, close your eyes, and visualize yourself staying at your job. You can see yourself at your usual work desk, working with your familiar colleagues, doing your ongoing projects. What do you feel in your belly? Is there any feeling of comfort or discomfort? Then you visualize yourself in the new job. You have a new work desk, new colleagues, and a new boss. You visualize yourself interacting with the new people, doing new projects. How does that feel in your belly? I do this exercise whenever I need to make a meaningful decision, and it always gives me a clear answer.

The other method I’ll mention here relates to both the sun in Capricorn and Pluto conjunct sun. It is the question of whether your job, your workplace, your relationships, and your home empower you, or whether they deplete you. With my activism, for example, I can say it is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. Through it though, I find strength that I had never known I had. This is a feeling of empowerment. I am increasing my capabilities to face challenges in a very profound way.

What big decisions do you need to make this year? Does this post help you make them? Please share with me, I’d love to know.

Sending much love and wishing you a wonderful week,

Yael
