From Thanks to True Joy: Jupiter’s Radical Gratitude Tips

November 25, 2025

Even if you are facing challenges now and things feel rough, there must be something you can be grateful for. For example, in my morning gratitude session, I thank every cell in my body. I thank my bones, my skin, my muscles, my beating heart, my active brain, and my strong immune system. I am grateful for my ability to see, hear, smell, taste, and touch, my ability to walk and use my hands in delicate arts like cooking and writing.

This week is a week of gratitude. Not just because it’s Thanksgiving, but also because it’s Sagittarius season and Jupiter rules Sagittarius.

Jupiter is the planet of joy and gratitude, and it’s no wonder that these two go hand in hand. Gratitude is the foundation of joy. We feel joy when we feel gratitude.

So first, I want to express my gratitude to YOU. Whether you have been here for years or you’re brand new to my community, whether you have learned with me, taken sessions with me, or just enjoyed my weekly blogs, I am grateful beyond words.

For this special occasion, I’d like to share some gratitude tips – how to balance your Jupiter Energy with practical and constructive gratitude guidelines (If you know me by now, you know it’s going to be a little radical :))

The first thing about gratitude is that you can’t fake it. It has to be very genuine. You see, Jupiter listens. If you say you are grateful for your challenges, you will get more of them. (Yes, I know, it might stand against everything you’ve learned.) So be honest about what you are grateful for.

Only be thankful for what brings you joy – things you want to expand and have more of – because the things you show gratitude for are those that will receive Jupiter’s blessing of expansion.

You can, and should, thank yourself for dealing with your challenges so well!

Be specific. For many years, I used to say I was grateful for my life just the way it was, but it wasn’t true. I wasn’t genuinely grateful – I wanted my life to change. I wanted to find love, have a child, and find my purpose. It’s possible that my fake gratitude was what was holding me back. Instead, I should have been grateful for the specific things that were going well in my life, like my dear friendships, my powerful meditation retreats, and my ability to travel around the world.

Be grateful for the people in your life, but go beyond the obvious. Of course, I am thankful for my amazing husband, my magical son, and my wonderful family and friends. But I don’t forget to be grateful for my cleaners who come once a week and leave my house shiny, clean, and organized, to the city workers who pick up my garbage and recycling, and to those who grow the vegetables and fruits I eat. There are so many people to be grateful for!

Be grateful for things you take for granted. Last year, when Hurricane Helen hit our town, we didn’t have running water for almost a month. Since then, I have learned to be grateful for the simple yet so important things we have become dependent on, like running water, electricity, and internet connection.

Be grateful for the future you want to create (yes)! Since what you show gratitude for is what will thrive, it’s a great idea to focus your gratitude on things you want to create. I am grateful for my great publishing deal and the millions of people who buy my book and find it a must-read.

I’d like to end by expressing my gratitude to Debra Silverman for her wisdom and guidance, and for including me in her Certified Astrologers and mentors family, and to my fantastic team, who help me thrive – Carrie Anderson, Krista Rimpa, Jennifer Ahdoot, and Nikole Allen – I am grateful beyond words for all your help and support.

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Gratitude Season,

With love,

Yael

P.S. I’ll also be grateful when you sign up for my upcoming free masterclass, The Art of Wanting. 😉 It’s happening in just a few weeks!
