Use Aquarius Energy to Set Free from Perceptions That Don’t Serve You Well

January 28, 2023

Aquarius is such a unique energy, it’s hard not to notice it. It is very creative, intuitive, inquisitive, exciting, but also erratic and chaotic.

Sometimes we need Chaos.

“Consider the value of chaos that serves you well, as you become unmoored by it. Scattered to the wind, you leave behind the parts of yourself you no longer need, and disperse seeds to reinvent yourself anew.”

~Colette Baron-Reid

Aquarius knows to be an observer. The winds of chaos blow wildly, while Aquarius stands outside watching them, asking, what does it mean? What do I need to learn from it? How can I change the story? In which way can I set myself free?

Aquarius needs freedom and space. Every challenge we go through is here to set us free from behavioral patterns and thought patterns that don’t serve us well. Then we can get our space and freedom.

Recently I met a beautiful soul who was sure that something was wrong with her. She thought she was bad and evil, while nothing could be further from the truth.

I met another beautiful soul who felt guilty for ruining his relationship with a woman who mistreated him and cheated on him for years.

I met a beautiful soul who had convinced herself that she did not need love, while she was actually trying to protect herself from getting hurt or disappointed.

We all have some perceptions and dogmas that prevent us from getting to where we truly want to be.

The woman who thought she was evil, never allowed herself to be vulnerable or show her true self to others and so she suffered from loneliness.

The man who took the blame for his ex-wife’s behavior, was stuck with feelings of regret, and could not move on to a new relationship.

The woman who acted as if she did not want love, kept searching for what was missing in her life in all the wrong places, and thus kept hurting herself.

During Aquarius season, we get a rare opportunity to step outside of ourselves, become the observer of our thoughts, our beliefs, and psychological patterns, and see which of these do not serve us well.

It takes time to set yourself free from thoughts and beliefs that don’t serve you well.

You need to implement mindfulness with a lot of self-compassion. You need to pay attention to these thoughts when they arise and gently tell yourself, these thoughts are not real, they do not serve me well.

It is helpful to also see the value of these thoughts, why we keep holding on to them. Sometimes they are aimed to protect us. Sometimes they serve as a comfort zone because they reflect what was told to us in our childhood. Sometimes we are simply addicted to a certain feeling they produce.

Aquarius is here to change the story. Before we change the story of the collective, we need to change our own story.

There are things we can’t change, but there is so much that we can.

If you feel any regret, guilt, or blame, if you feel that something is wrong with you, look at it from the outside and try to see it from a different perspective.

For years, I’ve felt remorse about ruining a beautiful friendship that meant a lot to me. There was no doubt that I did something wrong. I was not there for my friend when she needed me. When I wanted to show up in her life, it was too late. She was so hurt that she wanted nothing to do with me.

This week I set down with my guilt and wrote the story of this friendship with an attempt to understand what really happened there. Why did I not go see my friend when she needed me?

At that time, I was going through a major heartbreak, a financial crisis, and depression, while I was struggling with managing my new business.

I did something that truly hurt my friend, but if she valued our friendship, she would have found it in her heart to forgive me after I apologized for the tenth time.

Through journaling about it, I realized that in that relationship, my friend was the leader, and I was her sidekick. There is a possibility that my soul was asking to break out of this relationship and seek friendships that were based on mutual respect and appreciation.

This is why we need chaos to stir things up, so that these hidden patterns reveal themselves to us, and we can let them be gone with the wind. Then we are freer.

This week ask yourself:

  • Do I have repetitive thoughts, beliefs, or dreams that keep coming up and make me feel bad?

Choose to work with one of these thoughts or feelings. Journal about it, contemplate on it, try to understand why it keeps coming up.

Ask yourself:

  • How can I change the story in a way that will set me free?
