Taurus Scorpio Eclipse Season– Be Grateful for Your Body and Balance Change with Stability

April 24, 2022

We have a big week ahead of us, building towards the new moon and the solar eclipse in Taurus that will occur on Saturday.

This solar eclipse is the first eclipse of 2022. There will be another solar eclipse in Scorpio on October 25, and two lunar eclipses, in Scorpion on May 16 and in Taurus on November 8. These eclipses, together with the north node in Taurus, emphasize the Taurus – Scorpio axis.

To understand the meaning of this, we first need to look at the mutual qualities of Taurus and Scorpio, as they will be heightened throughout this eclipse season. Then, we need to review the opposition between them, to learn which forces we are asked to balance within ourselves.

Taurus and Scorpio Similarities

Taurus and Scorpio are both physical and sensual. They perceive life through their senses, they love being in their body, and they love to enjoy physical sensations. They are both sexual and sexy, although Taurus is more reserved about it than Scorpio.

Taurus and Scorpio both love money and property, but they don’t necessarily need much of it.

They both deal with issues of safety and security. For Taurus it is more an issue of financial security and for Scorpio it’s a bigger scale of existential security, but they both tend to deal with fears related to feeling safe and trusting the world. It is hard for both to trust the world and to know that the world will take care of them.

Taurus and Scorpio Oppositions

The way Taurus and Scorpio deal with their fears and inability to trust is where they differ.

Taurus looks for security in stability, predictability, and loyalty. The more that things stay the same, he can learn to trust them. Taurus does not want to take risks or make changes. He does not want to go deep; he fears depth. He prefers to stay with two feet on the ground, at his comfort zone, to enjoy the simple things of life, and avoid asking big questions that have no practical answers.

For Scorpio, the life choices of Taurus are boring. Staying at home and doing nothing about his fears makes Scorpio anxious. First, he wants to control everything and everyone around him to feel safe, but at a certain point he realizes that nothing is under control. Then he wants to go deep into his fears, he wants to explore his boundaries, he wants to see what happens if. He wants to work with his mistrust, to transform, to grow, to change, to find the secrets to the mysteries of the human experience.

The Lessons of Taurus Scorpio Eclipse Season

This eclipse season is asking us to celebrate our bodies, to appreciate the life that was given to us in this body. It is not always easy. The human experience is challenging. We go through so much pain and suffering, but there is also much pleasure and joy. Love your body. It does not matter how much you weigh, or how many wrinkles you have. This body wants to be loved; it wants to be celebrated. Why are we so harsh with it? Why do we constantly disapprove it? Can you look at your body and say – I am so grateful for you? You are such a wonderful phenomenon, you do so much for me, you are so capable, and you look great.

Then, we can move into the dialogue, between the part of us that resist changes at all costs, that wants to keep things the same even when it’s not right for us, and the part in us that eagerly seek changes and transformation even when it’s best to keep things as is. The point is that you do not want to be pulled by these forces. You do not want to act on your repetitive behavioral patterns. You don’t want to let the autopilot fly your spaceship. You want to take control. Even if you are more connected with Scorpio, sometimes it is good for you to make a Taurus choice, and vice versa. You need to think about your higher good, the world’s higher good. Then you make the right choices.
