This week holds a major event which is Jupiter conjunct Neptune in Pisces on April 12. The Jupiter Neptune conjunctions occurs about every thirteen years, but this conjunction in Pisces happens only once in 166 years! The effect should be felt about a week before and a week after April 12.

The special thing about Jupiter conjunct Neptune in Pisces, is that both planets are rulers of Pisces. This means a super strong Piscean energy. Add to it that Venus is already in Pisces and Mars enters Pisces on April 14. That’s a lot of Pisces. The highest good of this potential is a strong spiritual connection, emphasized compassion and forgiveness, heightened sense of creativity, good luck, emotional healing, and a better ability to mediate. It can be truly magical. The low road of this conjunction is delusion, escapism, confusion, vagueness, boundaries issues, inability to focus and a lack of groundedness.

The key is to find your spiritual connection while keeping both feet on the ground. It’s easier said than done. When you believe in something, rather than know something, it is because you have no evidence. I strongly believe in reincarnation. Can I prove that our souls reincarnate? No one can. When you believe in something, by definition, you are not very practical about it. Beliefs also create confusion. Few times I went to mystics who claimed to know my past lives. They were all super highly esteemed, even famous. Each one of them conveyed a totally different story. Was I a cat? A Hindu nun? or a soldier of a vicious leader? And what benefit did I gain from this information, regardless of whether it was true or not? You need to ask yourself questions. To be inquisitive, to keep your center and your boundaries, to make sure your beliefs make sense to you and beneficial for you.

The Zen Buddhist master Lin chi said, “if you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him.” If you think you found all the answers, start questioning. Know that you are the enlightened spiritual being, not any outer force, mystic, or teacher. Others can guide you on how to connect with your inner spiritual being, but it is within you that you’ll find it.

It is so unfortunate that many mystics and spiritual leaders, astrologers included, tell their clients horrible things. I’ve just had a talk with a friend who was told that according to her Vedic astrology chart she would never marry. Such things infuriate me! There can be nothing in your chart that prevents you from fulfilling your dreams! There might be challenges, yes, but it is always up to you to grow out of them.  You always have a choice. If someone tells you that you can’t do something you want, don’t kill them, just walk away.

What else happens this week?

The energy is building towards the full moon in Libra on April 16, which brings a dialogue between the need to lead, to be independent, to do things your way, and the need to be a part of a team, to cooperate, to be in tandem with others. How much do you please and compromise yourself for the sake of harmony? How much do you do things your way and ignore the needs of your loved ones? Find the middle path.
