Full Moon in Aquarius – Does Your Approach to Love, Romance, and Passion Support Your Well-Being?

August 6, 2022

The last few days were tense and powerful. Moon in Scorpio with sun in Leo was not an easy combination to digest. Scorpio wants to go through the dark side, but she does seek the light at the end of the tunnel. If you manage to embrace your darkest shadows, you can shine bright like a conscious Leo.

The new week starts with moon in Sag, which goes very well with Leo; they are both fire signs. With Jupiter in Aries, it could be all about fun, or all about being too blunt and getting in trouble for it. Can you choose which one it will be? I often think about the issue of choice. It is obvious that there are some things you can’t choose, but there are some that you can. It’s not always easy to know which is which.

No matter what it is that you want to change in your life, do it with self-compassion and kindness. When people become aware of something they want to change, they often tend to be rigid and harsh about it. They expect themselves to immediately transform, while it does not work this way.

When you decide to make a change, be patient with yourself, allow yourself time to go back to your old habits and patterns, accept that change is a process. Take it one step at a time.

On Wednesday the moon enters Aquarius and on Thursday there is a full moon in Aquarius.

Leo and Aquarius both have a unique voice. They are both creative, smart, and insightful. They both don’t like to follow and take orders from others. But while Leo likes to stand out and lead the way, Aquarius prefers to be a part of a group or a community.

There is another major difference between these two. Leo is passionate, romantic, and dramatic. She tends to get obsessed about her love affairs. Her life story can make a good script for a romantic drama. She expects people around her to fulfill a certain role according to her script. When reality does not match her expectations, she gets angry.

Aquarius on the other hand, can be somewhat detached and aloof. It’s easy for her to accept others as they are, and not to impose her expectations on them, but she always seems a little distant. Passion and romance are not a big part of the Aquarian agenda. Friendship is what she cherishes the most. She stays as far as she can from complicated or heavy emotions.

The aquarian perspective is that it does not matter if you are married or not, have kids or not, have love or not. We are all happy, and we all suffer. There is much truth to that, but it does not mean that you should not aim to create a certain life story. If you stop having dreams about how your life should look like, if you stop acting to fulfill these dreams, you eventually feel defeated, lonely, and isolated. It is totally okay though to change your dreams in face of reality.

When I was a single woman, you could have mistakenly thought I was a Leo. Everything in my life revolved around passion, love, and romance, and it was a total mess. When I got serious about my meditation and yoga practices, I learned to discipline my mind and my actions. Thanks to that, I found a more peaceful way to live that was much more supportive of my well-being.

On this full moon, it is time to find where you stand between these two opposing forces. Are you obsessed with your love life, passions, and romance? Or do you keep a distance from any passionate love affair to feel safe in your comfort zone of emotional disconnectedness?

As always, we want to find balance, or the middle path. Allow room for love, passion, and romance; life is flavorless without them. But don’t overdo it. Remember that romance is only a part of your life, there is so much more to life than this.

We still have some tension this week when Mars, Saturn and Uranus all challenge the sun. You might get more angry than usual. You might feel a need to set yourself free from restricting situation that you were willing to accept till now. You might feel more restricted than you really are.

Remember that all these forces are here to support you. Restrictions force you to be more creative. Anger exposes your open wounds. The desire to set free helps you gain more freedom. Pay attention closely to these three influences this week. Which one is calling you name?

Have a wonderful week,

With love,

Yael
