Ease Your Way Toward Your Wish Fulfillment
May 3, 2025
My wish to have a child was granted to me after three years of fertility challenges, just when I was about to take an egg donation. This Taurus season is the perfect time to reflect on what made the shift that allowed this miracle, to help you make your wishes come true.
For my 43rd birthday, my husband surprised me with a trip to Cyprus. It was after three years with three miscarriages and fertility challenges.
While I was packing for our trip, my husband mentioned that not far from our hotel, there was a wishing tree. “A wishing tree?” I asked with excitement mixed with skepticism. My husband explained that this was an ancient tree, and that it was a tradition to tie a scarf or a handkerchief to one of its branches and ask for a wish.
I packed an old scarf I did not use anymore, just in case. At this point, I had already agreed to take an egg donation when we returned from Cyprus. My fertility doctor said it would increase my chances of giving birth to a child to 95%.
Being an advocate of a natural life, I hated the idea, but I realized that having a child who at least had my husband’s biology was important to both of us. It was a heavy decision, but it felt right – I could not go on with the struggle anymore, and I wanted to have my child.
Our place was ideally situated in the mountains of Cyprus and provided naturally healing water pools, streams, and relaxation spots. We indulged in good food and sunlight. I allowed myself coffee and wine after years of restrictions. It was a perfect break from our hardship.
While floating in the pool, I told my husband, “Let’s go to the wishing tree. What do we have to lose?”
We took the curvy, narrow roads overlooking the shoreline beneath us. I expected a mystical tree to be on the top of one of the hills we had passed, surrounded by olive groves, fig and pomegranate trees, and the sweet scent of red jasmine flowers.
But the ancient terebinth tree stood on the edge of an urban road; an excavator was doing construction work nearby. A steel bar fence surrounded it. Many pieces of fabric were hanging from it, like long fruits that dried but did not fall, their colors faded by the harsh sun.
My husband lifted me so I could reach a branch and tie my scarf while stating my wish to give birth to a healthy child.
When we returned home from our trip, we got busy coordinating our egg donation. We chose our donor and got confirmation that she was able to donate. I needed to let my doctor know once I got my period to schedule the implant. But my period did not come, and my pregnancy test result was positive.
Naturally, I restrained my excitement. But when we heard our son’s pulse for the first time, and when the first trimester passed, and then the second and third, and when my son was born, I knew my wish was granted.
Manifesting my biological son with my husband was the greatest gift of my life. But it was also a lesson in letting go without giving up. It is the lesson of Taurus, ruled by Venus, the goddess of romantic love, fertility, abundance, joy, success, money, beauty, and peace – all the everyday things we want.
In Cyprus, I let go. But I did not give up on having a child; on the contrary, I owned my desire to have him and was willing to do more to fulfill my wish than ever before.
My decision to take an egg donation made me let go of my fear of failure and be at ease, and this is what I truly needed to succeed. I needed the confidence and assurance that I would have my child, even if it were not exactly how I wanted to have him.
But you can’t fake being at ease or letting go of your fear. You need to take action to help you be at ease, like changing how you pursue your dream and allowing yourself to compromise. Your wishing tree might not look like you expected!
Taurus is the earthy sign of Venus. It is here to teach us how to manifest our wishes with ease, joy, and pleasure, just like I manifested to my son when I was relaxed and happy in the mountains of Cyprus.
As I am now in a new manifestation process of becoming a renowned astrologer, teacher, and best-selling author, I contemplate how to apply this lesson to where I am today.
The first step is to own my desires and be willing to do more to achieve them. The second step is to accept that I must make some compromises along the way. Last week, for example, I was willing to teach a workshop even though only one student was signed up. As soon as I made this compromise, I got seven more students.
How can you use these valuable Taurus lessons to manifest your desires? What would you ask of the wishing tree? How can you find ease on your manifesting path? What compromises do you need to make? I’d love to hear from you.
Have a wonderful week, and don’t forget to sign up for Rise Up to Your Purpose starting this week!
With love,
Yael
